Are you facing a mental block in your own MLM or Direct Sales Business?

I have just got off the phone with one of my downlines in a business where many people are making money and she seems to be out of the league of these people. She keeps on saying MLM is hard to do. Direct Selling is hard to do. When people hear it is MLM or Direct Selling, they are immediately turned off, even though they were interested in the product she was promoting earlier on. How come? Have you also come across such a situation? Let us analyze her situation a bit. First, she was introducing the product as a product beneficial to the customer. So far so good. Until the question popped out: "Is it an MLM or Direct Selling?". She said yes. THAT is her mistake..and a serious mistake she made in her answer. Why? Because she was introducing a product.  The customer was interested in buying her product. She could end it there by just closing the sale and that's it. When the question pops out, she can just say "I am here to introduce you to the product. And I am making a profit from sales". That's about all she should have answered. After that, if the customer buys, she just writes out a receipt, accept payment and walk away. What was wrong with the way my downline answered the prospect? Because it wasn't necessary for the customer to know. Unless of course, if the customer asks about the profit my downline was making and says she is also interested in making money, then, she can make an appointment to come back another time with me or another more knowledgeable upline to discuss about the business. Business is like fishing...you have to find prospects. And never pester or force friends and relatives to buy anything from you or worse, get them into the business with coercion just because you want customers and downlines. There is of course, nothing wrong with getting your friends and family to join you in your business, but do it passively or indirectly. Have plenty of business cards at hand, to pass around when they ask you what you are doing to produce income. And plenty of informational catalogs on hand to pass around. Tell them to read the information first and get back to you if they have queries. Not a word more. Let them come to you for a change. That way..you will have the distinct advantage over your prospects. I have been doing this with good results.
